The last 2 days had been very event. First it was Andrew and Sharon's matrimony at Arts House the Old Parliament House. It was a delightful event. Sharon had a backless gown with a train behind her, hair tightly pleated and styled with roses. The moment was awesomely lovely when she waked down the aisle. It was a moment in time, freezed frame. Andrew was not himself, nervous and excited at the same time. Nevertheless, he looked impeccable in the well-tailored grey suit. What can I say, it was a decorous moment (can you call a moment "decorous"???) .The vows were taken smoothly ( Pastor said that most men fumble at their vows!) but Andrew did it with no sweat. The only dampener to an otherwise perfect event was babies crying and screaming for attention. For courtesy sake, don't even bother to bring babies into the hall and have the decency to take your leave when your kid is crying non-stop.

The wedding was a sweet and loving affair. I was really happy to be able to make it. Our cell group was there with many other family and friends of Sharon. We had a good time catching up, savouring delicious food at the historical Blue Room and spent an afternoon of fun in relax charm. Many love and blessings to the couple.

Last night was the wedding banquet at Marina Mandarin. As usual, it did not start on time . I have to take my hats off to relatives who happily saunter in at 8.30pm when the invitation stated dinner will be served at 7.30pm. Finally at 9.00pm our table was filled- almost full attendance from our cell group. In Alvin' words, it doesn't even happen on service weekends and cell group meetings, "we should change cellgroup meeting to Monday night 8p.m.!"

It's probably one of the rare moments everyone could make it for an event. Too bad Eunice was taxed to her eyeballs with work, it would really have been full FULL attendance. Gideon's officer let him off earlier so it was another rare moment in our cell. Judy was free from visitations. Germs didn't have school or work. And the rest of the guys , even those in SOT, came down and stayed up late despite a very hectic school/work/army schedule to run the next day. So our cell was united, finally!

We kind of bonded over wine. Jingfa was the first to experience overuse of blusher. Within 2 glasses he was red from scalp to neck. Then there was Big D who looked like he just came back from 3 days of field camp. Small D and Hexun was looking marginally like Jap guys in winter conditions - light blush, red lips and pale skin. Oh God, what a description. By the time we're heading out, all of us look unfit to drive, cross or even take the train. But it was just looks. 3 glasses can't anyone more than unjustified overjoyous behaviours, barring weddings.

So it was the last 2 days in celebration for our fav couple who got hitched and on the way to Tokyo. This will be the first and many more to come. In Gideon's exact words, " you know you're really slow when Eunice is pregnant and I'm married." Ok, got it.
